Use the Score chip to compare overall journal completeness and quality across classrooms. Higher percentages indicate stronger execution.
Scan each class tile’s bars to see which daily journal components average highest/lowest on the 0–4 scale. The green bar marks the strongest area; the red bar marks the weakest.
Prioritize support where bars are shortest or red. Validate scheduling, materials, or routines affecting those components.
Use GCP (General Center Perspective) and GPP (General Parent Perspective) to ensure both internal and family-facing perspectives are consistently documented.
Re-check after adjustments. Rising bars and Score% confirm improvement.
See the Director's Detailed Guide panel near the bottom for targeted action plans based on current data.
Score: Hours-weighted average of Percent for the scope (overall or per class).
Parent Delight (PD): Hours-weighted average of Parent Delight Score for the scope.
Consistency: Measures how similar the scores are across all children in a class (or across all classes overall). 100% means all scores are identical (very consistent); lower values mean more variation. Use this to spot if some children or classes are lagging behind or if performance is uniform.
Category Bars: Hours-weighted average on a fixed 0–4 scale; x-axis is always 0–4.
Bar Colors: Base blue for current week; the highest bar is
green and the lowest is red (ignoring Check‑in/out, Other Entries).
If prior-week data exists, a faint gray bar shows the previous week for trend comparison.
Trend Chips: Δ chips report the linear regression slope between the latest two weeks; Trend (Nw) chips reflect the regression-estimated change across the sparkline window.
Sparklines: Show the last up to 8 weeks (oldest → newest). Hover to see exact values by “Week of YYYY‑MM‑DD”.
Weighting: Overall weights = total hours across all class columns per row; Class weights = hours in that class per row (rows with hours > 0 only).
Missing category values are treated as 0.
Teacher Contributions Header Legend:
Overall %: Overall performance score
Score Trend: Weekly Overall % sparkline (oldest → newest). Bars are colored by value using an A–F palette (green→red). Hover for min/max and per‑week values.
PD Trend: Weekly Parent Delight sparkline (0–10). Bars use a dark low→high palette tuned for PD (deep red for low → deep green for high). Hover for min/max and per‑week values.
PD %: Parent Delight score (% of 0–10 scale)
XG %: Expert Grade
Act %: Activities
Meal %: Meals
Evt %: Events
Photo %: Photos
Diap %: Diaper/Toilet
Other %: Other Entries
C/I %: Check-in/out
Note: Percent columns show 0–100 scale (no '%' char) where 100% is the max score for the category (usually 0-4 unless noted).
Child Trend Overview Legend:
Child Name: Child display name (hover may show full name if truncated).
Primary Class: Determined by total hours across all journals; ties broken by
(1) journal count with >0 hrs, then (2) alphabetical.
Journals: Count of journal rows for the child included in this report window.
Avg %: Child’s average Score % across the shown week columns; if no weekly
aggregates exist, falls back to averaging daily values (single value = that value).
Row Shading: Background color indicates the Avg % range (higher = greener).
Default buckets: ≥90, 80–89, 70–79, 60–69, 50–59, <50.
Score Trend: Daily Score % sparkline. Blanks = no journal days. Colors based on using a dark A–F palette:
A (≥90) dark green, B (≥80) deeper green, C (≥70) amber‑brown,
D (≥60) dark orange, F (<60) dark red.
Score Δ: Linear regression slope of the daily Score %. Arrows:
▲ increase (> +0.1), ▼ decrease (< -0.1), ■ stable (|Δ| ≤ 0.1).
Avg PD: Average Parent Delight across weeks (if PD data present); hidden if PD data is absent.
PD Trend: Daily Parent Delight sparkline. If plotted on a 0–100 scale, it uses the same A–F
color palette as Score Trend.
PD Δ: Linear regression slope of daily Parent Delight (same arrow rules as Score Δ). Hidden if PD absent.
Week Columns: One column per Monday‑start week (label shows weekday + date). Cell = weekly
average Score % for that child with PD for that week in parenthesis; blank if no journals that week.
Category Columns: (Activities, Meals, Events, Check‑in/out, Photos, Diaper/Toilet, Other Entries) —
averages of that child’s 0–4 category scores across all journals in the window.
Notes:
All percent-style columns display 0–100 scale without a '%' symbol.
Category columns remain on a 0–4 scale (no conversion).
Sparklines normalize only across the child’s own available daily values. Missing days are shown as faint placeholders to preserve spacing.
Sparkline colors are intentionally dark to maintain contrast on light backgrounds.
